As soon as you place your order, it goes into the cue and is shipped within 2-3 days. For monthly subscriptions, this means that every month, your subscription will renew on your monthly billing date and your box will ship within a couple days of your payment. Same goes for gifts.
No problem! Simply login to your account and update your billing information right there. Please note that your tea box will only ship once your payment successfully goes through. Please feel free to email us with any questions or concerns.
No problem! We have the option to automatically customize your tea box subscription. You can choose between The Original Box (4 teas: 1 black, 1 green, 1 herbal, 1 rooibos), The Tea Bag Box (a mix of caffeinated and herbal teas in biodegradable tea bags, 18 premium tea bags/ box), The Herbal Box (a variety of 4 caffeine-free teas, including rooibos, honeybush, peppermint, herbal and fruit blends, among others) and The Caffeinated Tea Box (a mix of 4 single estate and blended black, green, oolong and white teas).
YES!!! We are so proud to be one of the only tea companies currently using fully compostable tea bags, made from sustainably grown, non-GMO sugarcane from Thailand. We want you to drink our teas and feel good tossing the bags into the compost when you’re done!
We are so proud that all our packaging is either compostable, biodegradable or paper recyclable. We are the only company using solely compostable or biodegradable pouches for our teas and recently began switching out our sticker labels for stamps, making the tea pouch even more eco-friendly. We want our customers to feel good about the planet and their family when purchasing from Tea Sparrow. We’re very excited about these shifts and hope other businesses will do the same.
Not a problem! Please just email us. Please note, however, that if you’re in the US, we will have to ship your special box from Canada which will delay your expected delivery window by 2-3 weeks.
Unfortunately, we no longer have the ability to customize individual boxes based on taste preferences. We do, however, invite you to check out our retail teas, where you can select individual teas based on your preferences. We will soon be adding the option to order small (18g) sample sized pouches of teas so you can try them with little to no commitment!
What a lovely gift idea! First, simply choose the type of subscription box you think your friend would like, then click on ‘Send a gift’ and you will be prompted to chose between 1-month (None), 3-month, 6-month and 12-month options. You will be billed monthly only for the period of time you choose.
If you are Mother Teresa and you’d like to gift them an ongoing subscription, simple chose ‘Subscribe’ and indicate their shipping address as distinct from your billing address.
If you’d like to leave them a note, please feel free to use our customizable e-card here. You will have the option to either email it or print and deliver it yourself. (Please note that we are no longer able to hand-write notes on tea boxes.)
The easiest way to switch boxes is to cancel your subscription and sign back up again for the subscription you’d like instead. Please make sure to email us so we can hook you up with some free perks!
You can pause or cancel your subscription automatically by logging into your account, or, if that’s not your style, simply send us an email.
Well, aren’t we glad you asked! Almost all of our monthly teas are available at our Store.
We think Tea Sparrow is the perfect solution! We send you 4 sample-sized pouches of tea per month, just enough to know if you love it enough to buy more. Still have too much? That’s what friends are for.
If, after receiving your first tea box you are not totally satisfied, we will provide you with a full refund and close your account.
If you have not received your tea box within 10 days of placing your order, please let us know. We have the ability to track our packages for our US customers (sorry, Canada), so if your package is delivered but not received, or if it gets lost in transit, we will try again or refund the purchase.
We have two teams that jury the tea. Our in-house team first screens all tea samples we receive to ensure they contain nothing artificial. This means absolutely no artificial flavours or preservatives. We then bring the clean teas to our fabulous team of local Vancouver members and tea enthusiasts, where we sample them at bi-weekly tea parties. (Needless to say, these are currently on hold.) Each tea gets a score out of 10 by each participant and only those that receive 8.5/10 or higher by everyone at the tea party are approved to be included in your Tea Sparrow box.
